i think twitter is tool like any other internet tool. U waste as much time on it as you want to. I wont deny that its easy to get caught up in it, but its all about moderation. And I'm sure for every bad thing twitter does, there r some great things that it can do.

And yes, the 140 char thing is a challenge to the English language. And its prob. the single greatest and worst thing to happen to the current ADD generation.

when i get glaze dribble i open the holes with a typical drill and power motor. it's not so bad an effort.

anything non-stretchy would work well. it's amaizing how tying small knots creates so much tension in an overall weave so the string needs to be strong. i don't do fancy knots, regular single knot stuff. i do use a crochete hook though to help get the string thru tight spots. either that or our typical needle tool. it beats watching TV or makes watching TV more interesting...

[...] September 1, 2009 at 11:13 pm (open source) The summer is finally over and its time to go back to school. I really enjoyed the summer this year. The weather wasn’t too hot which is a nice change from the normal humid Toronto summers. My cousin came for a visit from Hong Kong. He will be teaching CS full time at the American International School in Hong Kong this coming year. I gave him tons of links to awesome open source software and projects. Hopefully it will help expose open source to a wider audience. Other than visits from relatives, I also had the opportunity to take a 1 week course intensive Raku course which I wrote about here.
I was going to weave it. I saw the ones on your site and thought they were really neat looking but unfortunately I didn't clean some of the holes well enough so they are glazed over. I might try to do a weave over the part that isn't covered though. Thanks for the advice on the string to use :). I was thinking of maybe using some coppery coloured embrodery thread to complement the rest of the rest of the pot but haven't gotten around to getting the thread yet.
